My logo is simple because there's not a great deal of detail to it and it's just kind of plain.
My logo is memorable/unique because it's a simple hanger and it isn't a design you would normally see. The logo is timeless because hangers will more than likely always be a way to hang clothes up and will always be though of with clothes. The logo is versatile because it could work in colour, resized, or on the greyscale. The logo 'speaks' to the audience and is appropriate for a clothing company. |
Vector Portrait
As you can see, for this project, we had to make a vector portrait of either ourselves, our pet, or a celebrity. I choose Rin aka GothFruits, a non-binary makeup artist I found on Instagram. I chose Rin because he's one of the people in my life that inspires me the most, and I have been wanting to make some type of art work of him for a while now. The way I did this was honesty pretty easy. First, I got the picture of him I used and put it into Illustrator. After sizing it to show mainly his face, I put on the grid lines and "snap to grid". Once that was done, I made a second layer and locked the first one. With the pen tool, I then started to outline his features: the shape around his hair, his face, his mouth, and his eyes. After that was finished, I started making the polygons. Bigger triangles for the parts that wouldn't need much detail, smaller triangles for the more detailed parts. Once it was completely done, I went on to colour. By highlighting each triangle, I was able to take the eyedropper tool and take colour from the area a specific triangle was in and place it as the fill for said triangle. It took awhile, but it ended up being done, and although there were things I could've done better on, it came out looking fantastic. |
